BlueStar SeniorTech CEO wins SBA Small Business AwardRear Admiral (ret) Robert Wray, CEO of BlueStar HonorCare, was awarded the 2018 Small Business Person of the Year award today by the Washington Metropolitan Area District Office of the Small Business Administration (SBA).  The award was given during a luncheon ceremony as part of National Small Business Week, as proclaimed by President Trump.

BlueStar HonorCare helps American seniors live safe and independent lives at home using technology, including medical alerts, health monitoring devices, and safety equipment.

“This isn’t an individual award—it’s for the team,” said Wray in his remarks at the ceremony.  “It takes a village, to grow a company like this.  I am honored to work every day with such a talented and dedicated bunch of people.”

Antonio Doss is the Director of the Washington Metropolitan Area District Office of the SBA and presided over the ceremony.  “We are delighted to honor such a distinguished group of awardees today,” he said.   He laughed and continued, “In particular, we note a distinct Navy theme in the room.” (3 of the 6 District award-winners were retired from the Navy.)
